2023
Through distribution in specie, the non-APAC business of SharkNinja was spun off and listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Established the SharkNinja APAC segement, integrating resources and markets in Asia-Pacific (excluding China) and focusing on business expansion in APAC.
Through the acquisition of distributors, we were able to directly enter the markets of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Collaborated with renowned distributors in South Korea and the Philippines to enter the local markets.
2022
Joyoung acquired the remaining 49% stake in SharkNinja (China) Tech Co. Ltd., taking full ownership of SharkNinja (China).
Shark launched the Shark Flexstyle styling hairdryer, which has been enthusiastically embraced by global consumers.
Shark introduced the Shark HydroVac wet and dry vacuum cleaner along with odor neutralization technology.
Ninja launched the Woodfire Outdoor Grills, officially entering the outdoor category.
Joyoung introduced the Space Technology series of products, applying cutting-edge technology to civilian kitchen appliances.
2021
Shark launched the Hyper Air hairdryer, entering the personal care category.
Shark launched air purifier products, entering the home environment category.
Ninja introduced an ice cream maker, which was warmly received by North American consumers.
2020
JS Global Lifestyle acquired SpeedSense Technology immediately after its IPO. This move has boosted Shark's presence in vacuum navigation technology and increased the synergy created by the Company’s global R&D center. The Company now ranks second among all peer product providers in North America with a market share of over 20%, behind iRobot.
Ninja product category expansion: from kitchen appliances to kitchen cookware and knife series
In the second half of the year, Ninja launched a line of hi-tech never-stick cookware products.
JS Global Lifestyle was incorporated as a Composite Index constituent.
2019
JS Global Lifestyle was listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
2018
Ninja and Joyoung, the Group's Chinese subsidiary, jointly developed and created the brand of “Foodi” with an engineering and testing team of over 100 members.
Shark launched the ZERO-M self-cleaning dual brush head with bio-inspired design to solve hair tangling problem with one click.
2017
JS Global Lifestyle's acquisition of SharkNinja paved the way for SharkNinja to break into the international market later, when it entered the local markets in North America, Europe and Japan in succession.
2016
Shark's pioneering DuoClean® technology, which creatively combines a soft lint roller brush and a hard bristle roller brush, nourishes the world's one and only brand for dual brush head vacuums as of today.
2015
Ninja launched its first coffee maker, which turned out quite popular among consumers.
Shark vacuum cleaners overtook Dyson to emerge with the top 1 market share in the U.S. and led the pack for four consecutive years, before entering the Chinese market in 2018.
2014
Ninja dominates the kitchen blender market in the U.S.
Joyoung witnessed the 100 millionth soymilk machine user in the world.
2013
The Shark upright vacuum cleaner series achieved a major breakthrough in gaining customer satisfaction, according to the user experience research agency J.D. Power. Its published survey on vacuum cleaner user satisfaction shows that since 2013, Shark and Dyson, both under the cleaning category, enjoyed comparable levels of consumer satisfaction.
2009
The other brand of the company, Ninja, which focuses on small kitchen appliances, is established, introducing its first blender in the United States.
2007
The company successfully developed the “Shark” steam hard floor cleaner series and the vacuum technology with “zero-loss suction", breaking Dyson's 20-year dominance in this technological territory.
2003
The company moved its headquarters from Montreal to Boston and adjusted its strategy to focus on product innovation, developing its own line of high-end vacuum cleaners and blenders with innovative features.
1998
The "Shark" brand was founded with a focus on the R&D of high-quality hi-tech cleaning products and the development and sales of unique high-performance hybrid blades for heating kitchen appliances.
1994
Joyoung Co., Ltd, the Chinese subsidiary, was founded as a modern enterprise focusing on the research, development, production and sales of cooking appliances.
